In-Studio WORKSHOP: Blackout Poetry

Participants will spend the afternoon in our air conditioned studio creating blackout poems from a variety of text sources and in a variety of artistic styles.

Learn the origins of this fairly recent artistic and literary phenomenon. There will be plenty of resources, examples, and ample time for creating your own poems while exploring a variety of blackout poem types, artists, and styles.

All materials are provided during this popular half day workshop full of fun and inspiration at every turn–time flies! In addition, each participant receives a free blackout poetry kit ($18 value!) to continue creating blackout poems at home.
