Whale Songs w/Ocean Drum : Thursday Sound Bath Meditation

Our New Year’s Day sound bath is going to be a little different! Inspiration comes directly from the ocean, both on the surface, and underwater.

Ocean Drum: Our ocean drum will be featured in creating a calming soundscape of waves representing the ebb and flow of the past year and the new one to come.

Whale Songs: Perhaps less expected are the variety of recorded whale songs that will guide our sound bath, adding a haunting, yet beautiful underwater ballad of whale vocalizations to our sound bath, which I will answer with our singing bowls and other instruments.

Humpback whales have a significant connection to the new year due to their annual migration (on their way to warmer waters for breeding and birthing). Spiritually, humpback whales symbolize healing, communication, and creativity, and the connection between the earthly and spiritual realms. They are considered divine beings and spiritual guardians in some Oceania cultures.

Rest in this deeply relaxing experience as an easy and inviting way to maintain your personal wellness. Feel the sound and vibrational energy of our Himalayan singing bowls, crystal bowls, and hand-crafted ZEN therapeutic bowls flow through you, relaxing your mind, body and soul into deeper meditative states, guided by the song of the whale.

What you can expect: sound baths are intimate in-studio, small group gatherings (up to 9 people). Sound baths begin with a brief guided group grounding visualization followed immediately by a group sound bath. Sound bath concludes with individual bowl-on-body vibrational healing (VST) with a ZEN therapeutic sound bowl for each participant, followed by a short closing meditation.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to sign our waiver and settle in. Doors close promptly at start time. Late arrivals will not be admitted so as not to disturb sound bath already in progress.

Wear comfortable clothing. Yoga mats, blankets and eye pillows are provided. Registration is required. Space is very limited.
