Design Curious: Learning UX Together

Join us for an evening of conversation and connection with fellow designers and UX enthusiasts in Toronto. Whether you're just starting to explore the field, making a career transition, or looking to deepen your skills, this is a casual space to learn from each other and tackle the questions that come up in real work. We'll chat about the stuff that actually matters—the decisions, the challenges, the things they don't always teach you in courses—and hopefully you'll leave with a few new insights and some friendly faces to stay in touch with.

This meetup is for anyone curious about UX, regardless of where you are in your journey. Seasoned professionals, career-changers, students, or just people who want to understand design thinking better are all welcome. We keep things relaxed and conversational, so there's no pressure to have all the answers or be an expert. Just bring genuine curiosity and a willingness to share what you know.

If this sounds like your kind of evening, we'd love to have you. Head over and RSVP so we know how many of us to expect. Hope to see you there.

Join us for an afternoon exploring the practical side of UX design. We'll be diving into how wireframes actually translate into the workflows that guide real users through digital products. Whether you're a designer looking to sharpen your skills, someone considering a move into UX, or just curious about how the stuff you use every day actually gets designed, this meetup is for you. We'll walk through some real examples, talk about the thinking behind design decisions, and hopefully answer some of the questions you've been wondering about.

This is a pretty casual gathering—we're not here to lecture anyone. Expect some show and tell, conversation, and the chance to meet other people in Ottawa who care about good design. We'll have some time to chat at the end, so bring your questions and thoughts. Even if you're totally new to this world, you'll get something out of it.

If this sounds interesting to you, please RSVP so we know how many folks to expect. Hope to see you there.

Whether you're new to UX, considering a career shift, or just curious about how design shapes the products and services we use every day, this is a great chance to explore these ideas together in a relaxed, welcoming environment. We'll dig into some of the core concepts that make UX tick, ask questions without judgment, and share what we're learning along the way.

This is a hands-on, discussion-based meetup where everyone's perspective matters. We're not here to lecture—we're here to untangle UX together, figure out what's confusing, and help each other build a better understanding of this field. Bring your curiosity and maybe a question or two you've been wondering about. No experience necessary.

If this sounds like something you'd like to be part of, please go ahead and RSVP so we know how many people to expect. Hope to see you there!

No slides, no ego, just people who are curious about design and want to figure things out together.
