Explore the importance of play as it pertains to humans of all ages, from physical to psychological to social development and beyond.

This summer, Design Museum San Francisco’s UNITE panel discussion will address the multiple meanings that reside in the question: Why Play? Play is an integral part in the lives of children everywhere, but how does play impact development in both children and adults alike? Join us for this interdisciplinary panel discussion that will uncover the many benefits of play in all of our lives. Our panel of experts include:

This panel discussion takes place at the San Francisco Public Library on the evening of June 22nd in the Koret Auditorium. Complete with light appetizers and a chance to experience Extraordinary Playscapes (https://designmuseumfoundation.org/san-francisco/2017/02/10/extraordinary-playscapes/), UNITE: Why Play? also gives you the opportunity to contribute your own perspectives and questions during our audience Q&A.

Doors open at 6:00 pm; Presentation begins at 6:30 pm. Curator tours of the exhibition will be available from 5:00 – 6:00pm.
