About us

R is a software environment and programming language for statistical computing, data analysis, and graphics. R is used throughout industry and academia, and is a rapidly growing competitor to packages such as SPSS, SAS, Stats, and Matlab.

One of the major strengths of R is the community-based nature of the project, and our goal is to strengthen its local core.   The Detroit R Users Group is committed to bringing together analysts and developers to share knowledge, learn, hack, problem-solve, and network in an informal setting.

Please note: this Meetup is currently transitioning back into an active state.  We'll be sending out notices regarding options and upcoming events soon.  Please feel free to reach out with suggestions.
