This DevDay will be focussed on Test Driven Development. We start with a talk on Spock and how it is different from other Java based testing frameworks. We are looking for another speaker so feel free to reach out to us.

Spock is a expressive testing framework for JVM languages. It is a DSL framework written on Groovy. Compared to JUnit, Spock enforces Setup - Trigger - Assert paradigm. With DSL based approach, developer can think to write test code differently than production code. Spock runs on JUnit Runner, so existing test environment can be reused.

This talk will start an Introduction to Spock followed by a comparison with JUnit, features of Spock, Spock modules and some example code.
