Talk 1 Sorry About the PRDs: How AI Is Forcing Product Managers to Write Better Briefs

Most conversations about AI in tech focus on generating code. This talk is about something less discussed: how AI changes the way product, design, and development teams work together. Told from the point of view of a product manager, it explains how our team replaced the traditional PRD and endless design back-and-forth with detailed AI briefs, shared prototypes, and a stronger developer-led review and QA process. Along the way it makes the case that AI doesn’t reduce the need for developers. It raises the value of their judgement, and it exposes why unclear requirements have always been a problem.

Speaker: Ollie Dawes is a Senior Product Manager at Heidrick & Struggles, where he heads up AI product development and leads the firm’s AI strategy across tooling, adoption, and use cases from executive assistants to lead developers.

Talk 2 - Scaling Delivery When AI Writes the Code

With our story of growing number of developers (4x), median PR sizes (2x)

Rado has spent decades building software across energy, enterprise and healthcare, changing stacks several times along the way. He now leads the Core engineering group at Nourish, setting technical direction for the platform its 10+ teams share and focusing on scaling AI assisted development. “
