Empowering Software Developers With AI-Based Coding Assistants

The age of LLMs is upon us and clearly here to stay, but how do we get the most out of these new-found AI tools? This talk will cover how AI-based coding assistant tools can be used to empower and transform our software development capabilities. Through hands-on examples, we will explore how GitHub Copilot (together with GitHub Copilot X Chat) can enhance our domain knowledge, boost our productivity, and allow us to write better code.

Adriaan is a DevOps Consultant at Eficode where he helps clients improve their development processes and build value-adding software. He specializes in cloud technologies, modern web development technologies, and optimizing developer tooling experiences. If he’s not using his free time to read HackerNews or fiddle with bleeding-edge technology, he likes to spend time in the kitchen and at the gym.

Artificial Intelligence or, as I call them, applied statistics are freeing our time and mind to higher level stuffnow is about time to consider what to do with that suddenly free capacity. Even if you are not being replaced by a bot, you are most likely at crossroads of wanting to have a less stressful work year after the vacation we had. Ferrix gives a few possible thoughts on the opportunities to use our heads better for a more pleasing life.
