DevSecOps at Wärtsilä: Learnings from Our Journey
In this talk, Tuomas Väisänen from Wärtsilä will share the journey of implementing DevSecOps in a large, diverse enterprise. Learn how the cloud security team got involved in DevSecOps through rolling out container scanning activity and its outcomes. We'll discuss what has worked for us, the challenges we've faced, and the key lessons learned while working to improve DevSecOps adoption at Wärtsilä. Whether you're just starting with DevSecOps or looking to refine your practices, this session offers real insights from our experience.
Tuomas is a Cloud Security Specialist in the Cloud Security team at Wärtsilä, mainly working with AWS and Azure platforms. He graduated from Aalto University's Master's Programme in Security and Cloud Computing in 2022.
Glimpse of Site Reliability Engineering
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a discipline that focuses on building, operating, and maintaining reliable and scalable software systems in production environments. It brings together the disciplines of software engineering and system administration to enable organizations to build and operate complex systems at scale.
Rajasekar Mohan is a Principal Architect in DevSecOps team at Ekahau Inc, mainly working with AWS cloud platform with Open source technologies.

The Forgotten and Underrated Technical Agility from 1920s to Our Days
Agile software engineering started well before the manifesto. Since then, the connotations of agility have come to mean post-its, Jira and epics. However, the roots lie in heated discussions about design patterns, TDD, refactoring and many other pragmatic techniques over the C2 Wiki.
In this talk, I will fast-forward through some techniques that should be more relevant today and what has happened since in DevOps, SRE and MinimumCD. The introduction will be a densely packed refreshing sip from a firehose, but at least it will also be entertaining.
Studying, even mastering, these should make software engineering life better. It did for me.
Ferrix Hovi is a Principal Engineering Avocado at SOK where his colleagues have awarded him for being vibrantly loud and inspiring others to learn. In his own mind he is a quite the renaissance man and he still writes his own biographies manually in the age of AI.
