Scaling Databricks on AWS: A Terraform-Powered Approach

In this 30-minute talk, I'll share my experience using Terraform to manage and scale Databricks environments on AWS infrastructure. I'll discuss the challenges I've faced, the solutions I've implemented, and the lessons I've learned along the way.

I've worked at Wärtsilä as a Data and Machine Learning engineer in different departments for 7 years. While working on specific data related cases I had to navigate through different cloud setups with scaling Databricks for different teams taking a lot of my focus during the past couple of years.

Introducing AI Colleague - concept who tirelessly pays technical debt

In this talk we'll introduce our internal AI colleague concept which tirelessly pays technical debt in your organization. We'll go through the concept of integrating existing code analysis tools with LLM and the technical aspects of the AI colleague and lastly you'll see a small demo about the capabilities of the AI colleague.

Niklas Siltakorpi is a seasoned Senior DevOps Specialist from NorthCode who does not have the patience to limit himself to just one aspect in the field of software development. He believes in technology as a way to improve peoples (and developers!) life's and does not settle for half measures.

Lessons Learned: In-place migration from AWS VPC CNI to Cilium

Lesson learned migrating from AWS VPC CNI & kube-proxy to Cilium, to achieve enhances security, observability, and scalability. This talk explores the key differences between AWS VPC CNI and Cilium, the challenges faced, and how to achieved a ‘near-zero downtime’ migration of workloads.
