Terraform Blocks You Don't Know

"I know a lot of terraform, but what is it that I don't know", Lauri pondered and decided to find out. 'Terraform blocks you don't know' chronicles Lauri's perilous journey through the official Terraform documentation in search of obscure and overlooked parts of Terraform, what they are and are they actually useful in practice? The presentation contains examples using (mostly) Google Cloud, handful of demos including that of Terraform Stacks and a lot of opinions laced with picante dashes of frustration and agony. The presentation expects prior experience of using standard Terraform features.

Lauri Suomalainen has a decade of experience working with public clouds and software. He currently works as the Head of Cloud Development and a cloud consultant at Teamit and is one of the founders and organisers of the Helsinki HashiCorp User Group. Besides professional nerdy interests, Lauri's freetime nerdy interests include playing in a death metal band, rock climbing and board games.
