Tamir Gefen started his career as a developer and DevOps in the Israeli Air Force (Mamdas / Ofek). After graduated with BSc in musicology and computer science, he launched his company, ALM-Toolbox, which is focused on development of SCM add-on tools (for Jenkins / GitLab / JIRA / ClearCase and more), consulting and representing vendors of SCM / DevOps tools from whole over the world.

The widespread adoption of CI/CD has brought about a narrow focus on automation and testing while disregarding some of of CD main/original goals. The main idea of this talk is to highlight forgotten aspects and neglected principles in CD, namely reduced inventory, fast feedback loops, fast response to client needs and operational flexibility – serving the greater purpose of a business focused continuously improving culture.

Avishai is a veteran operations and software engineer with years of high scale production experience. Currently masquerading as an engineering manager, Avishai is leading a team of software engineers at Wix.com core services group. In his spare time, Avishai is spreading weird ideas and conspiracy theories like DevOps and Operations Engineering.
