Knative pipelines and Terraform Best Practices

Details

As mentioned in previous meetups, the heat is on in March with many quality speakers and events.

Note limited seats for this event.

A good pre-cursor to our DevOps meetup would be the one hosted by GCPUG SG - https://www.meetup.com/GCPUGSG/events/258099884/ with an introduction to knative.

Talk 1: Developing a CD pipeline with Knative - Andrea Frittoli
Talk 2: Terraform modules and best-practices - Anton Babenko

Andrea will give an introduction to knative pipelines, (now called tekton pipelines) the newest addition to the Knative project. Andrea will provide examples on how to use it in combination with other knative components

Anton will talk about different aspects when using Terraform - from common problems and solutions to best practices. During the talk, he will also cover Terraform modules, how to use them in a typical Terraform project, and what are the limitations of Terraform modules. Anton will try to answer any questions related to Terraform. The talk will be rather interactive with real code, so feel free to bring your problems and questions.

> Anton Babenko

Anton is a long time developer, CTO, and tech-lead who is spending a large amount of his time as an open-source contributor to various Terraform & AWS projects, terraform-aws-modules, modules.tf and a few others. The most popular one is where he manages a collection of verified Terraform AWS modules (terraform-aws-modules on GitHub) downloaded more than 2 million times. The newest one is where he describes Terraform best practices learned during several years of working with Terraform and established within the community (www.terraform-best-practices.com). He also leads AWS, DevOps and HashiCorp User Groups in Norway, organizes DevOpsDays Oslo, and often speaks at various technical meetups and conferences. He is passionate about all-things-cloud and solution architecture combined with automation and scripting.
