July DevOps Meetup

Details
Doors open at 18.00 for a 18.15 start.
Main talk
Matt Ray from Chef will be along to talk to us about Chef Automate. Chef Automate enables you to manage your infrastructure collaboratively and see the state of your configuration and compliance. The session will cover the open source foundations of Chef Automate and a demo patching an application stack for a compliance violation through Automate's CI/CD workflow.
Lightning talk (~10 minutes):
Michael McKinnon @bigmac (https://twitter.com/bigmac/) will be along to talk to us about Attack Demonstration on a AWS DevOps Environment
Cloud based environments bring about new challenges with Security, the likes we've never experienced before. In this lightning talk we'll demonstrate an attack on a typical AWS DevOps Environment and discuss lessons learned.
If you want to give a talk at a future meetup, either a lightning talk or a main talk, please let Mick & Lindsay know (https://www.meetup.com/devops-sydney/suggestion/)!
