DevOps BP: Happy 2018!
Manuel Perez (Nokia): DevOps Research Activities from a Telco Perspective During this presentation I'd depict how different the Telco ecosystem is compared to the web-scale one in order to apply DevOps practices. Based on those differences, I'll introduce some research topics that we identified of relevance. And to conclude, I'd like to illustrate an end to end DevOps pipeline we have built in order to test and prove our concepts. --- Rafael Ördög (Emarsys): Migrating from the disk to the cloud - a case study Storing large amounts of data files used to be really easy: just save it on the disk, and load it when it's needed. However in the context of high availability cloud services it is not an option anymore. We want our services to run seamlessly in the cloud, and for that we need them to be stateless, and the data needs to be available even if a machine storing them breaks. In this case study we will explore different persistence solutions and how to migrate between them easily by exploring the history of the architectural evolution of the Lean Poker Live backend. --- As usual, the schedule: * 18:00: Doors open * 18:30: First presenter * 19:00: Second presenter * 19:30: pizza & free discussion * 21:00: EOF This meetup event is English speaking! Pizza and beers are sponsored by Nokia. --- Some things to remember: • We always welcome talk proposals! What we're about

    Public Group

This group is for anyone interested in DevOps (the integration of development and operation). Developers, system engineers, IT managers, product managers, anyone who deals with automatization, test monitoring, testing, configuration, continuous integration, cloud systems can benefit from this group.

We will have lightning talks and guest speakers, including customers with real-world stories, industry luminaries and more. At heart, this is an informal, social gathering of like-minded enthusiasts who think devops is cool.

    Who should join the Meetup?

Developers, system engineers, QA engineers, founders & CEOs, directors of IT, etc.

You want to deploy production applications 5 times a day (or you do and want to brag about it)

    You build systems, SaaS applications

You are the smart but lazy tester

You want to meet and learn from your peers

You can't understand why more people aren't automatizing things

Food and drinks provided at meetups.

    Code of Conduct

We Stand for a Welcoming Community

At our meetups we encourage respectful smart conversations that help improvement and inspire innovation. Sexism, racism, and being an asshole in general is not appreciated. If you do so, get prepared to be challenged by meetup members, who will probably ask what's wrong with you.
