We'll discuss what you should monitor in MySQL. A common mistake is to monitor too many things, thus causing false alarms and leading your team to ignore real problems. At the same time, many users don't capture enough metrics to help them diagnose problems or understand their capacity planning needs. Balancing these two needs, and understanding the difference between fault detection and historical metrics, is important for building a reliable infrastructure.
