TALK ABSTRACT:
Operating system kernels underpin the security and performance of the entire system, so they are slow to evolve. But what if we changed that? What if we could observe, modify or add new behaviors at the lowest levels of software without compromising safety or performance? We’ll explore eBPF, a technology that lets you do exactly that.
SPEAKER BIO:
Speaker - Andrew Jenkins
Andrew is a lifelong builder and experimenter always looking for the next technical challenge. Software and hardware that he’s built runs at the outermost reaches of the solar system, a datacenter near you, and myriad places in between. He loves building network programmability because it enables rapid innovation on top of high-performance hardware. This led him to a deep-dive on eBPF, and he’s excited to report what he learned.
