What we’re about
DevOps Oxford is for software developers, systems administrators, operations engineers and anyone with an interest in IT tools and technologies that enable shorter time to market, faster iteration, and more secure and stable systems. We believe that it doesn't matter what tools you use, but how you use them.
DevOps Oxford was created in 2016 by the community for the community. A huge well done and thanks to previous organisers – Marcin, Pedro, Sandro and Tim – for producing such a successful MeetUp group for members. And a thanks to OxSource who have previously sponsored this group.
The organising of these meet ups has now been passed to Humand Talent Limited. With the group at risk of being lost forever in 2024, Humand took on the cost of running the MeetUp page and now organises events for the DevOps Oxford community bi-monthly.
This is a place for sharing experiences and learning new ways to deliver better software. We are always encouraging new people to get up and share their knowledge. If you have any topics you'd like to hear about, or, if you'd like to give a talk at an upcoming meet, please get in touch.

Talk #2: Bringing ML to Prod: How MLOps Complements DevOps in the Real World
with Adam Crow, Senior Cloud Engineer @ GFT GroupAs machine learning becomes core to modern software systems, the need to operationalise ML models with the same rigour as traditional software is more pressing than ever. In this talk, we’ll explore what MLOps actually is, how it relates to, overlaps with, and diverges from DevOps and why it's critical for delivering reliable, auditable, and scalable AI systems.
Drawing from a real-world implementation from within one of the global bank, I’ll share how we designed and delivered an enterprise-grade MLOps platform within their corporate services environment. We’ll explore lessons learned around CI/CD for ML, ML governance in regulated sectors, high Iteration environments, reproducibility, and the balance between flexibility for data scientists and control for engineering teams.
Whether you're new to MLOps or looking to integrate it more deeply into your workflow, this session will ground you in practical strategies to close the gap between experimentation and production.
This event is organised by Humand Talent, and hosted by The Oxford Centre for Innovation (OCFI).
