The Git Version Control System

If you're a developer and you do not use a version control system, stop what you are doing right now (i.e. reading this sentence) and start doing so.
We can help. This meetup will include a basic introduction into VCS in general, as well as the specifics of Git -- today's most popular version control system. For more advanced users, we will also chat about more complex topics, such as:

• branching models,
• how to use pull requests,
• different git implementations,
• how often you should commit your code,
• popular tools, etc. All topics will include an open discussion and hands on sessions, where needed.

HOW TO GET HERE:

The Science & Technology Park of Crete, is one of the buildings in FORTH (ITE), with a "STEP-C" sign outside it. It's the 2nd building on your left as you're driving down from the main gate, or you can just ask the guard there to point you to the right building.

If driving, park in the main parking lot, then take the small paved path through the olive field towards the 2 aforementioned buildings and then turn right. The main entrance is on your left.
