[Hack Session] Coding Agents
Details
Join us for a hands-on, practical meetup where we’ll explore how AI coding agents help us. With AI coding agents becoming more common, established "best practices" are still emerging. It’s unclear what belongs in AGENTS.md or what makes a skill truly effective.
Join this hands-on session to explore agents together and learn from each other. We'll:
- Practice prompting agents to implement a feature.
- Experiment with agent-assisted code review (we'll try out Mozilla's star-chamber that gets multiple LLMs to review our code - and to discuss with each other before telling us the output).
- Use remaining time to discuss skills, subagents, hooks, and any other recent developments.
Note: This session isn’t tied to a single provider — it may focus on Claude, another agent, or a mix. If you prefer a different agent, please bring it and demo your workflow.
Do not forget to bring your laptop. And of course, bring your experience, curiosity, and your most burning questions!
Facilitator
This session will be guided by a facilitator who - like everyone - is just trying to figure out where these agentic workflows and AI-assisted coding practices make sense:
He desperately needs your help on deciding!
Pizzas, beers and... socializing!
At the end of the meetup we will have the opportunity to discuss and socialise with some pizzas and beers! 🍕 🍺
Sponsors
As a final note - big thanks to our sponsors!
- Fairlo (Venue, Gold Sponsor)
Sponsors keep the meetup free to attend, accessible and provide us with snacks and drinks that keep people around for discussions.
More information about our sponsorships and expenses can be found on DevStaff's Open Collective page.
