- Apache Iceberg how it works and why it matters (40 mins, el/en) - Dimitris Kalouris.
This presentation focuses on the history of Online Analytical Processing, some of the problems it faces, what Apache Iceberg is and how a Metadata layer like Apache Iceberg can solve some of them. - Designing a Global Presence Platform (30 mins, el/en) - Konstantinos Drakonakis.
The presentation covers abstract presence architecture, complex distributed challenges, real-time and redundancy strategies, resilience.
We'll also have live streaming for the first talk for those who won't be able to join in-person. The link will be posted a few minutes before the event starts.
