Local LLMs are everywhere right now — but the excitement usually outruns the actual numbers. This meetup is a working session on running models on your own hardware: what it really costs, where it earns its keep, and where the cloud still wins outright.

Expect a real terminology breakdown (what those cryptic quant names actually mean), a case study from a production local-inference setup, and the sharper argument nobody puts on a slide: why a stuck agent loop running unsupervised overnight can cost hundreds or thousands of dollars on a frontier API while barely moving your electricity meter locally.

Whether you're already deep into local inference or just want to know if it's worth the hardware, come ask hard questions and compare notes with people working through the same tradeoffs.
