A functioning CRM and marketing automation is critical for business success, both in B2B and B2C.
At Savio Media GmbH., we have helped with many of the well-known products like HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Zoho, Dynamics, or Klaviyo, but we are also big fans of open-source products that we provide and maintain for our clients.
At this event, Matteo Savio (CEO of Savio Media GmbH.) introduces some of the best open-source CRMs, including the ones we use ourselves, and answers all your questions about them.
## EspoCRM
Oleksii Avramenko started EspoCRM in 2011 as a free, open-source CRM platform designed to help organizations build and maintain strong customer relationships. It provides a wide range of tools to store, organize, and manage leads, contacts, sales opportunities, marketing campaigns, support cases, and more.
## Twenty CRM
Founded in 2023 by Charles Bochet, Thomas des Francois, and Félix Malfait through Y Combinator, Twenty is an open-source, AGPL‑licensed CRM built as a modern, developer-friendly alternative to Salesforce, emphasizing extensibility, community, and user-owned data.

## Why Open Source CRM?
- No licensing fees. They are free to download and deploy. But don't think it's free: Next to hosting and maintenance, you also need to implement your workflows, and that might need an expert like us at hand.
- Customization: As the code is open, you can adapt it to your needs. Usually, licences allow adaptations; often they don't allow you to resell them or require certain licences.
- Data Control: You own your data. You can export, import, and back it - you're not locked into a certain system.
