What we’re about
Diamond Way Buddhism is part of an international non-profit network of more than 600 meditation centers. It offers a variety of Vajrayana meditation methods within the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.
These centers were founded by Lama Ole Nydahl and Hannah Nydahl according to the wishes of H.H. the 16th Karmapa, Rangjung Rigpe Dorje.
All of our worldwide centers are currently directed by Lama Ole Nydahl under the spiritual guidance of H.H. the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Trinlay Thaye Dorje.
The purpose of our group is to provide easy access to authentic Buddhist teachings and meditation methods for use in modern life. The goal of Diamond Way teachings is to bring people freedom, independence and meaning in their lives while having normal jobs and raising families. This group is for those who seek a fresh, practical and direct experience of the Buddhist methods.
We are a community of fun, relaxed and easy going people who share a common interest in Buddhism and the view and the wish to benefit beings. Our work is grown on the basis of friendship and trust.
Our meeting start with a brief explanation on the main Diamond Way meditation used in our Centers worldwide and continues with a guided meditation.
Questions are usually asked at the end of the meditation.
Experience in meditation is not needed and the meeting is free of charge.
Plan on about an hour for the entire program.
Besides the weekly meetings, we also have events on some weekends. Stay tuned!
📣 We are now hosting an Open House event on every first Thursday of the month at 7:30PM.
