Date: 11/10/2026 Sunday
Meeting Spot: Gardens by the Bay MRT Station TEL
Shooting Spot: Marina Barrage area
Time: 8pm till 9.30pm
1. Camera and lenses
- Standard zoom lens: A 24–70mm equivalent is a good starting point for capturing fireworks with the skyline.
- Telephoto zoom: A 70–200mm equivalent is useful for tighter compositions and isolating individual bursts.
- Wide-angle lens: Useful if you want to include the skyline, crowds and fireworks in one frame.
- Smartphone: Handy for quick shots, video and behind-the-scenes moments.
2. Tripod or camera support
A tripod is useful for long exposures, especially when combining fireworks with the skyline. However, tripods and monopods may be prohibited inside the F1 Circuit Park. Check the rules for your specific viewing location before bringing one.
3. Spare batteries and memory cards
Fireworks photography often involves taking multiple exposures and shooting video. Bring a spare battery and ensure you have enough storage.
4. Lens cleaning cloth and rain protection
Singapore is humid, and condensation can form when moving between air-conditioned spaces and the outdoors. Bring a microfibre cloth and a lightweight rain jacket or poncho.
5. Power bank
Useful for keeping your smartphone charged if you are also using it for navigation, video recording and social media.
6. Comfortable shoes and a small bag
You may have to walk some distance between viewing areas and transport connections. Keep your kit light so you can move around comfortably.
