After our successful "Connecting Asia" event in Taiwan last year, our team is heading to Cambodia to co-host another SPECTACULAR special event on Data Visualization and PowerBI with our local partner community *Data Residents Cambodia*, the leading data community in Southeast Asia. Whether you're based in Phnom Penh or plan to travel there during this period, join us and meet some of the world's brightest digital, data science and B.I. minds and learn some useful tricks of the trade :-) *PROGRAM* 6:00 - 6:30 PM: Drinks, Coffee, Networking 6:30 - 8:00 PM: "Data Visualization" Talk with David Benaim, Workshop, Networking 8:00 PM till late: More Networking, Drinks, Board Games :-) (Local timezone UTC+7) *THE TALK* Speaker: David Benaim, Founder of Xlconsulting It is said that this decade, each year there is double the amount of data of what there was one-year prior. The world is full of talented statisticians, programmers and data scientists but most of the time the output of their data is in 50-page reports. In this talk you’ll learn some tips you can go home & instantly apply some tricks with the software you’re already using, and get a glimpse into Business Intelligence software, a software type that we believe will change the world. An example is this dashboard on Xlconsulting’s website (https://www.xlconsulting-asia.com/wildlife-populations.html) where you can click on any image or bar or word and the charts will change. *LOCATION* The Happy Damrei - Board Game Cafe #1 Street 174, Phnom Penh, Cambodia *COST* Attending is FREE. You only need to buy your own food and drinks. *ABOUT OUTREACH DIGITAL UK* Founded in 2015 and counting nearly 20,000 members, we're the UK's largest tech Meetup group. We spread knowledge and thought leadership through weekly talks, workshops, micro-conferences and other events on a 100% volunteer- and community-run basis. Our contributors include people from Amazon, Google, Sky, participants of "The Apprentice", top academic authors like Dr. Dave Chaffey and many more. *ABOUT DATA RESIDENTS CAMBODIA* Data Residents Cambodia is Southeast Asia's leading community for data professionals and enthusiasts to meet, learn and share knowledge about data and its potential to improve society. It welcomes those who are curious and those who are experienced alike and hopes to inspire the world with the impact it can have on it. *IMPORTANT* All our events are organized by pro bono volunteers during their free-time, after working hours, and we choose venues that offer to host us for free. That is a lot of goodwill and thoughtfulness, but because we are no business nor is this our occupation, we kindly ask that by participating you agree to understand the simplicity and limits of our initiative. Despite our best efforts and achievements to date, we are in no way liable for any risk, damage or disappointment that may result from our activities. Due to the voluntary nature of our organization, contributors and venues, event dates and details may change with short notice. It is your responsibility to check the date and time before arriving, and to enable automatic group notifications on your Meetup profile settings so you are always notified of any changes: http://www.meetup.com/account/comm/Digital/ (http://www.meetup.com/account/comm/Digital/) Pictures and video may be taken to promote our activities on Meetup and other online media.
