Recording and mixing a hit song: Recording Engineer and YRS owner, George York hosts this meeting every first Monday and third Tuesday of each month. George will walk through the entire process of setting up a session in Cubase and then demonstrate how each instrument is recorded. Guests are encouraged to participate in the recording and most tracks are actually performed by our many and talented members. LIVE worldwide Internet broadcast of an actual recording session. Starting with a theme, idea, concept or musical motif; we will compose a song. We will record, edit, arrange and produce; using the latest digital technology and Steinberg Cubase software. The session is entirely interactive with our live audience and with our online viewers. Participants are encouraged to bring their instuments, voices and lyrics, etc. We never know what to expect from one session to the next. The sessions are spontaneous and improvised and the process and results are always interesting and entertaining and often impressive. Truly an opportunity to learn something new and witness musical creativity at it's finest. This is reality studio life - raw and uncut with all the human emotion and no rehearsal.
