#LeanCoffeeKL 73 - think tank: Startup & Organizational Leadership

Details
This week we'll be discussing leadership; comparing traditional management with what's required to run a startup. Considering traditional management focuses on executing plans, dictating orders and the classic line, "failure is not an option!" you can easily see how this contradicts the lean mentality of focusing on learning what to build, empowering the team and, accepting that "failure is okay."
Too many startups are trying to use lean methodology in their development practices while failing to implement a lean leadership approach; sometimes effectively negating the benefits of agile. Remember, if we're building something nobody wants, why are we so proud of building it on time and on budget?
