About us
Dim Sum Labs is a group of Designers, Programmers, Artists, Creators, Innovators, Visionaries, Techies, Entrepreneurs, Inventors, Engineers, Funders and Starters and those curious and inquiring minds who wish share ideas and collaborate to create.
We meet every Tuesday night from 7pm to late at Dim Sum Labs, Sheung Wan.
We also hold a wide variety of hands-on and theoretical workshops.
We also aspire to be artisans, moving beyond the realm of the theoretical to physically implement our ideas.
We believe that Dim Sum Labs will be defined by both the people that we attract, as well as by the workshops and projects that we create.

Momen x DSL HackJam: Vibe No-Coding (US$100 Credits)

AI coding tools can build you an app in an afternoon. Describe it to Cursor, Claude Code, or Lovable, and the code appears.
The problem shows up the day after. A user hits a bug. A pricing rule needs to change. One customer's data needs to be locked down. The answer is buried in thousands of lines of code you didn't write and can't read, so every change means prompting the AI again and hoping it doesn't break something else.
At that point AI is running your product, not you.
This hands-on session from Momen is about the alternative: vibe no-coding.
Vibe coding is AI on code. Vibe no-coding is AI on no-code. You describe the app you want. AI builds it — the database, the server-side logic, the permissions, the interface. But what comes out isn't a codebase. It's a visual editor: tables you can open, workflows you can follow, rules you can click and change. You didn't write it. You still own it.What we'll cover
• Where AI coding loses you — why "it works" on day one turns into "I can't touch it" a few weeks later
• Vibe coding vs. vibe no-coding — same prompt, different output: a codebase only the AI can read, or a visual editor you can read and change yourself
• A live build with Momen — describe the app, and watch AI create the tables, backend workflows, and permission rules, confirming each step before it runs. Then we change the rules by hand, with no code and no re-prompting

Speaker
Yaokai Jiang is the Founder & CEO of Momen.app, with 15 years of experience as a backend engineer. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge and a Master of Science in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University. He brings both a deep technical background and a practical startup perspective.

成立於2011年，我們是香港歷史最悠久的創客空間 Hackerspace。現時會所建立於2013年，經歷種種困難及挑戰，至今屹立不倒，多得一眾非常熱心的會員支持。來參加我們的聚會，認識一群志同道合、正面及熱心的造物者。我們希望能得到你的支持，助香港及大灣區建立為一個科創及電子藝術的集中地！
