We'll move beyond the absolute basics to focus on consistency, shot placement, and tactical play in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Novice players who have played a few times (e.g., 5-15 games), understand the basic rules, and are looking to improve their consistency, shot execution, and foundational strategy. This is not for absolute beginners.

A focused training session aimed at solidifying core skills and introducing basic game strategy.

What We'll Cover & Practice: Choose base on class

• Consistent Serving & Returning: Drills to improve serve depth, accuracy, and consistent return of serve.
• 3rd Shot Drop & Drive Fundamentals: Introduction to these crucial shots – when and how to execute them.
• Dinking Drills: Improving soft game consistency and placement in the kitchen.
• Volleying & Punch Volleys: Techniques for effective net play.
• Court Positioning & Movement: Understanding where to be on the court for doubles.

What to Bring:

• Athletic Shoes: Comfortable, non-marking court shoes are essential.
• Water Bottle: Stay hydrated!
• Comfortable Athletic Wear: Dress for movement.
• Your Own Paddle (Recommended): Having your own paddle helps with consistency. A limited number of loaner paddles might be available.

Tired of waiting for the weekend to get your pickleball fix? Join Dink Sum Academy for "Not Everyday Sunday" – our social open play designed for beginners to intermediate players who value great sportsmanship on the court!

We've secured 3 dedicated pickleball courts for a lively session with up to 20 participants. However, the first 30mins will be 2 courts only.

This isn't about intense competition; it's about having fun, getting great rallies, and meeting new pickleball pals in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. Perfect your dinks, improve your serves, and enjoy friendly games where respect and good vibes are key. We encourage everyone to cheer each other on and foster a positive playing environment.

For beginners: Don't worry if you're brand new! Coach Christopher will provide a short, welcoming introduction at the start of the session to cover the basics and get you comfortable on the court quickly.

Rotation System: To ensure everyone gets ample court time, we'll be implementing a "4-on, 4-off" This ratio allows for more consistent play and shorter wait times! Please be mindful of others waiting to play.

Games will be using rally scoring of 15pts and sudden death at 17pts.

Once 3 courts will be reduced to 11pts and sudden death at 13pts

Pickleball is a fantastic blend of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, easy to learn, and incredibly addictive. No experience? No problem! This clinic is your perfect starting point.

What you'll learn:

• The Basics: Understanding the court, lines, and basic rules.
• Holding the Paddle: Proper grip and stance.
• Serving: How to get the ball in play consistently.
• Basic Shots: Forehand, backhand, and volleys.
• Scoring: How to keep track of the game.
• Dinking & Kitchen Rules: The unique and fun "soft game" near the net.
• Court Etiquette: Playing safely and courteously.
