Join us Sunday, September 21, 10 AM–2 PM at Jolene’s Retreat Animal Sanctuary in Occidental, CA, for a Sanctuary Workday with heart—and purpose.
This comes during the Perdue Rescue Trial—an urgent moment for justice. Zoe Rosenberg, a UC Berkeley student and DxE investigator who rescued four sick chickens—Poppy, Ivy, Aster, and Azalea—from Perdue’s Petaluma Poultry facility, faces nearly five years in prison for her act of compassion. Her trial, now underway, echoes a powerful question: When is rescuing suffering animals a crime, and when is it courage?
We're stepping up—showing up in solidarity by being present: attending the trial, raising voices in protest, and doing even more—helping heal and nourish animals who have found love in sanctuaries like Jolene's Retreat.
