Do you care about animals? This is the community for you! 🐶🐷🐮🐔🐱🐟
We are a community of hundreds of activists all around the San Francisco Bay Area! We host event to directly help animals such as animal sanctuary volunteer days and pigeon destringing. We also host events to advocate for social change and animal rights like out weekly Saturday Morning Meetups, protests, marches, and conferences!
Our community is growing every day, join us! Our events and community are open to anyone and everyone who cares about animals! So if you are vegan, an animal rights activist, vegetarian, or just interested in learning more, then you are welcome here!

Meetup: Make-Your-Own Animal Rescue Kit
Location not specified yetHave you ever found an animal in need and not had anything with you to be able to help them? Having an animal rescue kit can be incredibly useful for emergencies. At this event you will get to assemble your own rescue kit with all the essential materials you’ll need to help animals you may come across.
Nicole and Rhita, two incredible wildlife rescue volunteers with Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue, will be teaching us about what to do and what not to do if we find an animal, and what each item in the kit is most useful for.
All materials for the kits will be provided and we ask for a suggested sliding scale donation of $10-$20 per kit and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue. In order to know how much materials we’ll need to provide we ask that folks who want to make and take home a kit please sign up and donate in advance by Venmoing @animalliberation with the note “rescue kit”. What: Hangout and presentation- ARC West is a 30 minute walk from North Berkeley BART and only a 10 minute walk from the 51B bus stop at University and 6th St.
- Dogs that like other dogs are welcome at this event!
- There will be plant-based brunch and coffee, donations accepted

Save the Dogs: Novartis Protest and March to Abolish Animal Testing
5959 Horton St, 5959 Horton St, Emeryville, CA 94608, USA, Emeryville, CA, USPlease join us for a protest of Novartis Lab in Emeryville. Novartis has tested on beagles, cats, sheep, mice, guinea pigs, rabbits, pigs and more and we want them to stop!
We’ll have speakouts, chanting and a small march calling for an end to animal experimentation.

Sanctuary Workday
2600 Nicasio Valley Road, 2600 Nicasio Valley Rd, Nicasio, CA 94946, USA, Nicasio, CA, USJoin us for an amazing volunteer workday at a local bay area sanctuary, Rancho Compasión. Get in touch with what it means to care for all these beautiful, rescued animals who call this little slice of heaven their home.
It is MANDATORY to sign their Volunteer Waiver at https://dash.pointapp.org/events/780793 click the link and select "GO" on their event page and follow instructions. This will need to be done prior to the event.
Wear closed toed shoes, and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. You are welcome to bring work gloves if you have them, if not some will be supplied. And afterwards a delicious plant-based lunch will be provided.

Calf Raising Operation Vigil for Rose's Law
Location not specified yetPlease join us for a vigil to bear witness to animal cruelty and to honor Rose’s Law Animal Bill of Rights on the 8th anniversary of Rose’s rescue. Rose’s Law is our long-term goal to finally grant animals five basic rights that we all deserve:
The right to be free - not owned - or to have a guardian acting in their best interest.
The right to not be exploited, abused, or killed by humans.
The right to have their interests represented in court and protected by the law.
The right to a protected home, habitat, or ecosystem.
The right to be rescued from situations of distress and exploitation.We’ll have music and speakouts and we’re giving the meeting location only to people who plan to attend in person, so to get the address please message Paul Darwin Picklesimer.
