Meetup: Clover Exposed! Big Dairy is Terrified
2414 Sixth Street Berkeley, CA 94710, 2414 Sixth Street, Berkeley, CA, USA new DxE investigation was just released that exposes horrible cruelty against animals at a calf ranch linked to Clover Sonoma (the infamous dairy company that uses that silly smiling cow mascot to humane-wash what they do to animals). While Clover Sonoma markets itself as local, humane-certified, and committed to animal welfare, we know that the industry exists to profits off of animal exploitation and causes animals immense suffering.
Join us at this Saturday’s Meetup to learn more about how we’re exposing factory farms and the brands they sell under, as well as what we can to do hold them accountable! After the Meetup we will go take action together at the exact facility where this cruelty is happening!

Clover Exposed: Vigil and Protest at Agresti Calf Raising Operation
Location not specified yetPlease join us for a vigil and protest on public property at Agresti Calf Ranch, a calf raising operation that is part of Double D Dairies which supplies to Clover Sonoma. DxE's recent investigation of Double D captured footage of calves being kicked in the face, yanked by their tails, and burned. We’ll be nonviolent as always while we bear witness to the calves and demand those in power take action to protect animals.
This cruelty was reported to Clover and to authorities yet no action was taken. Only after the LA Times reached out did Clover state they were suspending operations with Double D, yet they are still prominently featured on their website and the suspension is already lifted. If Clover is supposed to be the best of the best, this investigation makes clear the entire industry is based on abuse and exploitation.

Petco - Stop Selling Animals!
1800 Bryant St, San Francisco, CA 94110-1473, United States, 1800 Bryant St, San Francisco, CA, USJoin us in demanding that Petco stop selling animals!
Most people shop at Petco because they care for animals. They may have no idea that the animals on the store’s shelves come from horrifically cruel breeding mills and some species are even kidnapped from their habitats in the wild. Shockingly, the majority of animals bred and shipped to pet stores die before they even reach the store shelf.
Selling animals is costing millions of them their lives and it’s time for Petco to stop selling them! When: Sunday, May 17th 12noon
Where: Meet at Franklin Square at the corner of 16th St and Bryant St, San Francisco (37.765424, -122.410229). We will walk to Petco together
Accessibility: We will walk a short distance from the meeting location to the store where we will mostly be standing for about an hour

United Markets Cut Ties with Petaluma Poultry
96 Hilldale Dr, San Anselmo, CA 94960, 96 Hilldale Dr, San Anselmo, CA, USDespite repeated requests, United Markets continues to sell chicken from Perdue’s Petaluma Poultry, a massive network of factory farms throughout California. We’ve documented criminal animal cruelty which routinely takes place at their facilities, including chickens being boiled alive and dying from treatable medical conditions like splayed legs and open necrotic wounds. Even the chickens that make it to slaughter live their whole lives in incredibly claustrophobic conditions surrounded by the corpses of their brethren covered in feces.
This is all for the profits of Petaluma Poultry and retailers like United Markets. Local Grocery Store chain Good Earth Natural Foods received this information and chose to do the right thing and cut ties with Petaluma Poultry. We are asking United Markets to do the same.
Nothing will change unless people like you take action.Join us this Saturday, May 16th to demand that United Markets stop profiting from this extreme cruelty!
WHEN: Saturday, May 16th at 2 PM
