What we’re about

This group holds Satsang and Inquiry meetings to realize the original Self. Satsang is a Sanskrit word meaning "to be with what is" or "being with being". In Satsang we meditate, then sit in presence while listening to a talk of non-dual teachings and we inquire. Spiritual questions can be asked of the teacher. Nondual (not two) teachings point beyond form and to peace - infinite stillness. Dialogue in Satsang is congruent with direct non-dual precepts of Advaita Vedanta, Taoism, Gnosticism, Kashmir Shaivism, Zen and Dzogchen Buddhism.

Popular contemporary non-dual teachers are: Adyashanti, Byron Katie, Eckhart Tolle, Gangaji, Jean Klein, Krishnamurti, Mooji, Neelam, Nisargadatta, Papaji, Prasanna, and Ramana Maharshi. Events occur mostly in Sacramento, Nevada, Placer, and Yolo Counties. This group also announces Satsang of non-dual teachers that visit the greater Sacramento area.

Please contact me if you’re interested in using this group to post Satsangs of any nondual teachers that will be in the greater Sacramento area (free).

Namaste,
Allison

Following are a sample of non-dual teachings:

"The truth is inseparable from who you are. Yes, you are the Truth. If you look for it elsewhere, you will be deceived every time. The very Being that you are is Truth. Jesus tried to convey that when he said, “I am the way and the truth and the life.” These words uttered by Jesus are one of the most powerful and direct pointers to the Truth, if understood correctly. If misinterpreted, however, they become a great obstacle. Jesus speaks of the innermost* I Am*, the essence identity of every man and woman, every life-form, in fact. He speaks of the life that you are." ~ Eckhart Tolle *

"First set yourself right and then only set out to improve others. But one must begin somewhere, and one can begin only with oneself. " - Sri Ramana Maharshi*

"Enlightenment has nothing to do with the head or the heart. Certainly, the head and the heart tend to open up, but that’s a byproduct. Enlightenment is actually waking up from the head and from the heart. It’s waking up from the dream of “me” and seeing the oneness of all things. That’s what I mean by “reality”: that oneness. The truth is that you are that unity. You are not simply a particular person in a particular body with a particular personality; you are that one reality, which manifests itself as all these seemingly separate things." ~ Adyashanti

"What a liberation to realize that the “voice in my head” is not who I am. Who am I then? The one who sees that." - Eckhart Tolle

"In Satsang, a melting is taking place. Something has taken hold of you, dissolving all delusions from inside. At a certain point, you will find you are empty of identity. Now, you don't exist as that old picture. Only the formless Self exists - powerfully! **The person is imaginary. Only the Real is - and you are That. A joyful discovery!" ~ Mooji

"What you are looking for is what is looking." - St Francis of Assisi

“You are primal awareness. Life is only primal awareness. Between two thoughts or two perceptions you are. You know moments in your life when a thought completely disappears into silence, but still you are.” — Jean Klein

"Fundamental reality is neither "known", nor "unknown". It is "unknowable." it is a mystery to be lived, not a problem to be solved." - Prasanna

"We need to save the planet, of course. But let’s not fall into the erroneous thinking that all the solutions are out there somewhere. Because most of the problems—violence, pollution, war, terrorism—all those things have their origin in human consciousness or unconsciousness. So your primary responsibility is not doing anything outside of you; your primary responsibility is your own state of consciousness. And once that is achieved, then whatever you do and whomever you come into contact with, and even many people you don’t come into direct contact with, get affected by your state of consciousness." ~ Eckhart Tolle
