Safari Bus Tour
Your Guided Safari Bus Tour will take you through 2.2 miles of trails where you’ll take in breathtaking views of our valley from an open-air safari bus while having an up-close-and-personal experience with many of our exotic animals.

Bus seating is limited, so we suggest you book online in advance to reserve your seat. (Tickets are non-refundable.) Tickets are also available at Guest Services (upper lobby) based on availability on the day of your visit. The tour is approximately 1 hour. You can choose to take just the Safari Bus Tour or select a COMBO to include a visit to our Small Animal Adventure Walk-Thru for best value.

The COMBO gives you all-day access to our Small Animal Adventure (petting zoo) at a $5 discount, where you can walk among our friendly animals and pet and feed many of our smaller friends and newborns. (Note: the SAA discount applies only if purchased in the same transaction as the tour. If purchased separately, full price applies. No future upgrades.)

Please arrive 20 to 30 minutes in advance of your bus's departing time for check-in. Check-in is located on the lower level outside the Trailside Grill. Buses run on time. They will depart the loading zone at the time you selected when you purchased your tickets. Restrooms are in The Lodge (main building), if needed before departure.

Please Note: Our buses may accommodate only one wheelchair per bus. We apologize, no securement for mobility devices is available.

*If very heavy rain or inclement weather is in the forecast, please check the website or call ahead, as very muddy roadways may cause us to be closed.

*If you are late, Guest Services will assist you in adjusting your tour to a Self-Drive Thru or moving you to another scheduled Safari Bus if seats are available.

*Purchases are non-refundable. If you are unable to keep your booked tour date and time, please refer to your confirmation email and select "cancel booking." Follow the instructions to receive an HVAA eGift Card for future use at HVAA. Changes may be made up to 24 hours before your tour date and time. (Guests who purchase Trip Protection can cancel up to 72 hours prior to their visit for a full refund.) All guests may reschedule their date and time up to 24 hours in advance.

Enjoy a swim at the pool at Fort Niagara. Park admission is $8 or free for seniors (65+). Pool admission is $4. Kids welcome. Picnic afterwards. Please bring a summer picnic dish/dessert/paper supplies to share. I will bring Salen hotdogs and rolls.

Let's pick some blueberries at Greg's U Pick Farm Market. Cost last year was $3.75 per basket. Bring cash for picking since they do not accept credit cards. They also will have in season corn, tomatoes, peppers and zucchini for sale. You can bring your own containers too. Website is www.gregsupick.com. 716-741-4239.
