Wines of South Africa

Hi Folks! For this meeting we will take a journey into South African wines!
Sparkling wines, Chenin Blanc, Pinotage, Bordeaux style wines, Rhône style wines and many more. The first vines were planted by the Dutch in the mid 1600s - so one of the oldest New World wines.
This will be a virtual meeting and I always have slides so that you can see the different regions and the key factors affecting the grape growing, winemaking, and of course the history.
It is a casual meeting with lots of discussion about wines we are drinking, tastings we have been too - and other fun topics. We always welcome new members!
So bring a bottle of South African wine - or a wine of your choosing and join us!
