Starting in the early 20th century, artists were drawn to the Pueblos surrounding Taos, New Mexico. Artists such as Georgia O'Keefe, eernest Blumenschein and Henry Sharpe were inspired by Native American and Hipanic culture and handicrafts as well as the desert landscape. Emerse yourself in the fascinating history of the Taos Art Colony.

This month we ask members to send an image of an artwork depicting people enjoying a summer activity on a beach, boat, park, etc. and give a brief 5 minute talk on the artist, why you chose the art work and a couple of discussion questions. The presentaqation is optional if you would prefer to join us for discussion.
