Planes, Rafts, and Pods: A Tour of Distributed Systems Within Kubernetes

Details
Hey Folks-
Next month we're lucky to have Bo Ingram presenting "Planes, Rafts, and Pods: A Tour of Distributed Systems Within Kubernetes":
"Kubernetes is a flexible platform for running containerized applications. Built around clustered hosts, Kubernetes leverages its distributed nature to deploy and run applications. In this talk, we’ll take a look at the components Kubernetes uses to make the distributed magic happen, and how they interact with each other. We’ll check out the architecture of Kubernetes, take a dive into etcd, and show how all the pieces work together to run applications."
Bo Ingram is a platform engineer at Craftsy who spends his time flipping back and forth between backend feature development and infrastructure work. He has a problem where he buys more books than he can ever hope to read.
Kubernetes is a technology that has gained a lot of traction, and this is a really interesting perspective on it. Looking forward to seeing you all next month!
