ABSTRACT
Investigation into the Vietnam Airport Cyber Attack
In 2017, two Vietnamese airports were targeted by hackers, leading to system failures, delays, and significant disruption for passengers. In response to the cyber attacks, the central bank of Vietnam decided to halt banking and ATM services to prevent further attacks that could threaten the nation's critical infrastructure.

In this talk, I will present my independent research and investigation into these cyber attacks, utilizing OSINT and HUMINT techniques to uncover what happened and how it transpired. I will also share how identifying a single piece of information led me to track down one of the members of the hacking group responsible for the attack.

Digital Battlegrounds: Geopolitical Tensions in the Cybersecurity Landscape
As global tensions rise, cyberattacks are increasingly becoming key tools in geopolitical conflicts. This talk explores how nation-states leverage cyber operations to disrupt critical infrastructure, gather intelligence and project power on the world stage. Using real-world case studies, we will analyse how these cyber threats impact national security and international relations. This talk will also cover the growing role of state-sponsored hacking and the importance of cyber defense strategies in an interconnected world.
