WORKSHOP
Get hands on with a workshop led by Kar Wei Loh, founder of Hexcore Labs. In this session, Kar Wei will guide you through practical techniques for SSH, FTP, and rlogin server hardening — from enhancing access control to strengthening authentication mechanisms and patching vulnerabilities.
Workshop Pre-Requisites:
- laptop & power charge
- VM installed (preferably Kali Linux)
TRAINER
Kar Wei Loh
Cybersecurity researcher, CREST and OSCP Certified Penetration Tester, and experienced trainer with a passion for strengthening cyber resilience through hands-on education. She has 2 accredited CVEs and has spoken at international conferences like Black Hat Asia before, presenting on new research innovations like code variant analysis to technical international audiences when she was just 19. As the founder of Hexcore Labs, an innovative Cybersecurity and AI Education Technology startup, Kar Wei is revolutionizing how professionals build critical skills in high-demand industries. Hexcore Labs simplifies the process of spinning up realistic, practical scenarios for cybersecurity and AI training, enabling learners to gain hands-on experience in penetration testing, adversarial attack simulations, and AI automation. Her work bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application, making cybersecurity training more effective, scalable, and accessible.
