About us
This book club focuses on the issue of political polarization in the U.S., and how Americans can begin to address the problems it has created. We read about and discuss corollary topics like income inequality, our two-party political system, media fragmentation, etc. The goal is to have hopeful, informed conversations about how the country can reverse the trend toward greater divisiveness we've been seeing. Anyone who finds this topic interesting or appealing should join!

April meeting: Viewpoint Diversity
·OnlineOnlineHi all -- I'd been looking for a book for our next meeting when Bill Roos sent me a heads-up about this anthology on viewpoint diversity, co-edited by Bernard Schweizer and John Tomasi, which was just released yesterday. It's a great topic, and the book is recommended by two of my favorite scholars, Jonathan Haidt and Steven Pinker. We'll go back to having the meeting on Saturday afternoon -- I'm scheduling it for April 18th at 3 pm EST. While I'm at it, I'll also mention that's Bill will be hosting his next meetup on "groupishness" next Thursday, March 19 at 7 pm. Happy reading and I'll see some of you online soon!
Best,
