Welcome to DIY Fashion & Art Explorers LA!
A creative, beginner-friendly community for anyone in Los Angeles excited to explore hands-on workshops in fashion, art, and design—together.
This group is for folks who love getting creative, whether you’re just starting out or already deep into your DIY era. We’re all about building community while patronizing & exploring different venues and creative workshops throughout LA and LA County.
Every meetup is an opportunity to learn something new, connect with other creatives, and have fun doing it.
🖤 What This Group Is About
DIY Fashion & Art Explorers LA is a Black, Latinx, nonbinary-led community centering the experiences of Black folks, Indigenous folks, people of color, and LGBTQIA2S+ communities.
We’re intentional about creating safe, affirming spaces that respect pronouns and all forms of gender expression. All are welcome. Please note some events will be exclusively for Black, BIPOC, or QTBIPOC community members—these will be noted clearly in the event names.
✂️ What to Expect
We meet twice a month, visiting different workshops and creative events around LA and LA County.

One event will be a hands-on DIY fashion or art workshop

The other will be a community-focused event—like a gallery hangout, fashion pop-up, clothing swap, or creative co-working day
🧵 Cost: Most events will range between free and $40 depending on the workshop and venue.
