NoVa DIYke Collective

This group is designed to create a collaborative space for reciprocal help with DIY projects. While the organizer is a lesbian, we welcome other queer folks who would like to participate in a mutually beneficial collective as honorary dykes.

We will have some initial low-key social activities for folks to meet and get to know each other and see how we can help each other out. While we work to get things going, there will be an expectation that group members are giving as much or more than they are benefiting from this group. The focus here is on mutually supportive community, and once we have a rhythm there will be an expectation of helping with two projects before asking for help on yours.

I am also hoping to find some opportunities for this group to volunteer together, and would welcome co-organizers interest in helping with this.

Membership is not open to our cishet allies, but there are many ally-welcoming spaces for you to participate in and we encourage you to do so there.
