Django London Meetup October

October edition!

This month we are going to have a Hacktoberfest edition.
Our key concepts will be:

* Encourage people to contribute to open source.
* Increase the recognition that much of modern tech relies on open source.
* Help increase representation in open source.
* Give back to the open source projects.
* Learn/teach dos and donts of open source.
* Celebrate all things open source! (especially the people that make open source so special).

We will chat, code, hack, connect and make it count! It is an open invitation, you can bring your laptop, or you can come to chat/help/mentor.

Prep: if you are going to join the coding session and make an open source contribution, please do some research before coming and finish the installation/contributors guide instructions to your chosen project.

strawberry: A GraphQL library for Python that leverages type annotations 🍓
wagtail: A Django content management system focused on flexibility and user experience
django-stubs: PEP-484 stubs for Django

Agenda:

• 6:15pm Doors open, socialising
• 7:00pm Doors close **
• 6:30pm Chat, code, hack, connect
• 9:15pm Fin

Location: Octopus Energy London Offices.

** Please make sure to arrive between 6:15pm and 7pm as the meet and greet will end by 7pm. If you arrive earlier please take a seat at the seating area in the downstairs reception and don't come upstairs. If you cannot make it to the event before 7pm please send us a message before event day and we will do our best to organise it for you.
