About us

Our focus: Data, AI, Analytics and the technologies that turn information into impact.
In the cloud, hybrid, on-premises or at the edge.

Wherever data is generated, processed and consumed.

Using any programming language, framework or platform. Declarative, object-oriented, functional, low-code or AI-assisted. From traditional databases and data engineering to modern analytics, machine learning and generative AI.

What started as a Microsoft SQL Server community in the pre-cloud era has evolved into a community for data professionals, architects, developers, engineers, analysts and AI enthusiasts. Today, our topics cover the entire data lifecycle: collecting, storing, governing, processing, analyzing, visualizing and operationalizing data and AI solutions.

While Microsoft technologies remain a strong focus, we welcome discussions around the broader data and AI ecosystem as well. For example:

  • Data Platforms & Databases: SQL Server, Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, NoSQL, Lakehouses, Data Warehouses

  • Data Engineering & Analytics: Fabric Data Engineering, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Apache Spark, Real-Time Intelligence, Data Integration

  • Business Intelligence & Visualization: Power BI, Semantic Models, Self-Service BI, Embedded Analytics, Data Storytelling

  • Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning: Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Machine Learning, MLOps, AI Agents

  • Modern Data Architecture: Data Mesh, Data Fabric, Event Streaming, Kafka, Delta Lake, Data Governance, Data Security

  • Containers & Cloud Native: Kubernetes, Docker, SQL Server in Containers, Cloud Native Data Platforms

  • Development & DevOps: PowerShell, Python, .NET, Query Tuning, CI/CD, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code

  • Security & Compliance: Data Protection, Data Masking, Row-Level Security, Identity, Responsible AI, Governance and Compliance

    Oh, and one more thing:
