DMV Cat Walking Group

We are back and better than ever! Grab a pint and a feline friend and meet us at the pub. Your cat might be under 21, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t drink! Let’s unwind after work with paws and pints at a local happy hour.

Feel free to come with or without a cat and get ready to socialize and raise a glass with fellow cat lovers! 🍻 This is a great opportunity to make new friends.

If you get there before 7, happy hour will still be going on. Drinks cost $3 to $5! I will order some appetizers for the table.

I will be bringing my cat Misty and we would love to meet you! If you bring your cat, make sure they are wearing a collar, harness, leash, in a backpack, carrier, and/or stroller.

🅿️ Parking: Parking is available at two different parking garages in the Rockville Town Center:

Garage A
Entrances located off of Maryland Avenue and 355.

Garage B
Entrance located off of Maryland Avenue.

Parking is free for the first 90 minutes and after that it is $3 for up to 3 hours. You pay at a kiosk in the garage before you leave and present the ticket at the exit. There is some street parking but not a lot.

Ⓜ️ Metro: The bar is walking distance from the Rockville station off the red line towards Shady Grove.

We will be meeting in the side tent called the “special events tent” opposite of the entrance. The event is officially till 8 since they will be playing music in the main tent at 8 and I don’t want the cats to be uncomfortable. However, you are welcome to stay later, and Misty and I will probably be there past 8.

FYI: we will be meeting at the special events tent since it is quieter, but to fully reserve it is $500 an hour. We can still go to this tent but we may need to move to the main tent or the rest of the grounds if there is another event there. I chatted with the events organizer and as of right now no one will be using that tent at that time.

🅿️: From the Shipgarten website, “Our free parking can be found at 1700 Old Meadow Rd McLean, VA 22102. We have a complimentary shuttle which has continuous service after 3pm on weekdays and starting at 11am on weekends.”

Ⓜ️: The venue is a 7 minute walk from the McLean station on the silver line.
