About us
We welcome both seasoned veterans and casual enthusiasts alike. If you've never played Yu-Gi-Oh! before, we are more than happy to teach you.
We mainly play one-on-one using TCG Advanced format or Genesys format. However, we also reserve days for dueling in pairs or sharing custom cards. Additionally, as a special treat, we allow our loyal members to design and test their very own rulesets!

Designer Duels at the Board Room
Board Room, 1737 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC 20009, Washington, DC, USCould it be that the perfect format doesn't exist because the cards for it haven’t yet been made? Are ideas already budding in your mind? Let’s bring them to life. Even if they aren't perfect, I want to see them in action! Expand an existing theme or brew an entirely new one.
Here’s a card editor you may use:
https://lauqerm.github.io/ygocarder/
Just click and type away. Don’t hold back your imagination.
And, as for the non-custom cards you use, don't worry about points or forbidden/limited status. A little bit of chaos can be fun sometimes!

Yu-Gi-Oh! at the Board Room - Genesys
The Boardroom, 1737 Connecticut Avenue, Washington, DC, USJoin us as we explore Konami’s newest format! If you preferred how the game was before the introduction of Pendulum and Link monsters, then this might be your ideal event.
BEFORE you arrive,
Be sure that any decks you plan to use do not exceed the allotted number of points. This link also includes an overview of the rules:

Concerning travel,
You may struggle to find an open parking spot near the venue, so it’s better to try 24th Street and the surrounding spots on Kalorama Road, Wyoming Avenue and Tracy Place. The best option may be the Metro. You’d exit at Dupont Circle Station.

Yu-Gi-Oh! As It Never Was
The Board Game DC, 1737 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington DC, DC, USDust off those old classics in your binders and experience Yu-Gi-Oh! as it never was.
Cookie-cutter deck lists, begone! Constant board wipes, begone! Tier-1 tyranny, begone! Get ready for the format you never knew you needed. If you’ve been utterly overwhelmed by the speed of the modern metagame, rejoice! If you’ve long suppressed the itch to bamboozle your buddies with obscure Traps none of them have heard of, your time has finally come! If you’ve always wondered what a format with 100 viable decks looked like, then prepared to be amazed, utterly. The AINW card pool contains every release originally printed before the TCG set, Duelist Alliance. Please note, this is not a true Retro format. We’ll be using updated card text for many cards formerly on Konami's Forbidden & Limited List. The inclusion of newer errata is not meant to tarnish the legacy of certain cards. Their inclusion is meant to maximize the number of viable options whilst preventing dangerous sequences such as Divine Wind FTK.

Many of these parameters you’ll likely find surprising, sacrilegious even. Just keep an open mind and give my format a try. I think you’ll be surprised by the sheer number of strategies that are actually viable. I didn’t set out to create a list that was perfect. But, I do believe I have succeeded in crafting one that is actually CONSISENT in what it bans, something that Konami's Forbidden & Limited list has never been.
