About us
Welcome to the DMV Trivia Group!
This group is for people who love to play trivia in Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. We are welcoming of all levels and skills, as it is a team event and everyone will have something to contribute. Our group gets together throughout the week at local venues that offer trivia. Trivia generally starts at 7:00 pm or 7:30 pm and is offered Sunday through Thursday.
*If you join our group, we do expect you to show some interest in playing with us.* Interest is defined by coming out to our events, or at the very least, checking the events page on a regular basis to see what events are being offered. Those who join and never come out or check our group page will eventually be dropped from the group.
Unlike other trivia Meetup groups that have centralized leadership and limited games/venues, I would be happy to offer Event Organizer status to anyone who wants to organize a game wherever it is convenient for him or her. Hopefully, we will have people organizing games all over and having new people joining them! So please contact me if you want to get more involved!
If possible, please *post a photo of yourself to your profile* so we can find each other at events. Also, please make sure that your contact settings are set to "on" so we can talk to each other through the website, if necessary. To do that, click on your picture, then "settings", and then "privacy". Click on the drop-down menu next to "Contacts" and select either "Member of my groups only" or "Anyone on Meetup" (your choice).

Trivia Night at Historic Lee-Fendall House (Sitcom Edition)!
Lee-Fendall House Museum and Garden, 614 Oronoco Street, Alexandria, VA, USHere is a special game that is completely different than the others! Historic Lee-Fendall House runs a few themed outdoor trivia nights on their grounds every summer, and this is the last one for this year. This game will be their “sitcom edition,” so any of you TV fans that want to show them what you got are invited to join us at the Lee-Fendall House this Friday night!
Sign up will work differently than usual, as this is a paid, ticketed event. I have already purchased four tickets for $15 each that I will sell to the next three people that sign up. Just bring some cash with you to reimburse me for it. Each ticket includes one beverage (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), and a variety of snacks. However, I will take up to a team of six, so if you are the fifth or sixth person to sign up, you will need to buy your own tickets to join us. And you will need to buy them ASAP, as the event might sell out. So when you arrive (at 6:45 pm), just tell them that you are on team “Nip it in the Bud!” You would tell them that you are on the list if you are part of the first four people to sign up, or you would just present your ticket, if you are players 5 or 6. There should be some parking in the surrounding blocks. So if you want to try this unique game, sign up soon! I've done this in the past, and it is a good time!
