D&D ShadowDark at The Boarding House Carlsbad

If you’re looking to try something new, Shadowdark RPG is a wonderfully friendly step over from D&D 5e. Created by Kelsey Dionne, an award-winning adventure writer, it uses the familiar d20 and advantage/disadvantage systems you already know, but keeps the rules light and easy to learn so you can get right to the fun. Since characters don't have built-in night vision, exploring feels like a truly exciting adventure where you'll need to watch your torch light, which burns down using a real-world timer! With quick combat, a fun roll-to-cast magic system, and a focus on clever thinking over complex character sheets, it’s a breezy, engaging game that makes every choice feel like it truly matters.

I'll arrive around 5:30 pm to get things prepared. I'll have everything you need: pencils, dice, and character sheets (Pre-Generated Characters). Just come by and get ready to have fun!
