Short Restival:🎆Fireworks to Fireballs🔥

Short Restival is a casual social gathering of folks who like to play tabletop RPGs! This is an opportunity to meet, greet, and mingle with other adventurers, play some games, and snack. This is a social event. Placement in a one-shot is not guaranteed.

This is one of our few Family Friendly events! Bring the kids!
(RSVPs must be 18+. Guests may be under 18. Underage guests must be actively monitored by a legal guardian.)

11AM: Check-in opens. Get a name tag, fill out a "Looking for Group" card, a Derby Racer card, and find/organize a game.
1PM: 30-min Dungeon Derby!
1:30PM: Looking for Group mixer
2:00PM: More gaming and hanging!
4PM: The hosts are cleaning up. If you want to stay, we'll put you to work.
If you expect to run or play in a one-shot, best to arrive as close to 11am as possible.

Self-Organized One-Shots
At check-in, a host will ask you if you plan to run a one-shot.

• If you want to run a game, we'll get you set up with a sign-up sheet that has a start time or you can shop it around and start when you want. That's it! Bring what you need to run what you want.
• If you want to play in a game, find a sign-up sheet! Check back at the sign-in station once in a while to see if there are any games posted. Placement in a game is not guaranteed.

Looking For Group (LFG) Badges
There will be optional "LFG" badges to attach to your name tag at check-in! These will help match up folks with new groups, games, and friends! We will also host an organized LFG speed mixer.

Dungeon Derby (approx 30 mins)
A return of the infamous Dungeon Derby! 4-40+ jockeys barrel through a perilous subterranean fantasy race course. Most will survive, but only one will win the prize of a dragon egg (1/4 scale...)!

• You'll need a d20, a pen/pencil, and to fill out a Jockey Sheet at the check-in area, prior to race time.

Why all the rules and requirements?!?
We are actually pretty laid back people, but this is not our job. 100% of any money we make from the community goes back into Meetup fees and event supplies like name tags, pens, notecards, water, and snacks. Many of our events rely on free public spaces and those all have strict regulations and rules. We also don't usually allow underage members or RSVPs because legal issues are more complicated and scary. So thank you in advance for making our lives easier by reading and following our litany of asks. :)
