About us
Making plans used to be so simple.
You’d call a friend and ask:
“What are you doing?”
“Nothing.”
“Want to go do nothing together?”
That’s the spirit behind Doing Nothing Together DC.
This group is for adults in their 30s & beyond who want more reasons to get out of the house, explore the city, and spend time around good people in a relaxed, low-pressure environment.
Our meetups will be at least once a month and are centered around activities and experiences rather than just sitting around at brunch every weekend. We’ll check out things already happening around the DC area like:
-Improv workshops
-Museum events
-Outdoor festivals
-Markets and pop-ups
-Scenic walks
-Art events
-Seasonal activities
-Community events
-Live music
-Beginner-friendly classes
-Random interesting things happening around the city
Some events will be free and others low cost, but the goal is simple:
leave the house, try something different, and enjoy good company while doing it.
I’ll be attending every meetup as the organizer, so even if you come alone, you’ll already know at least one person there.
If you know of any upcoming events or activities that would be fun for the group, please feel free to send me a direct message.
For many events, I’ll also share a meetup spot shortly before we head in together so no one has to walk in feeling awkward or alone.
This group is intentionally casual, welcoming, and easygoing. No networking pressure and no need to already know people. Just adults looking to enjoy the city and build community one activity at a time.
Because sometimes the best plans start with:
“Want to go do nothing together?”

John Marshall Place Park (next to Embassy of Canada), Pennsylvania Ave NW / 4th St NW, Washington, DC, USLet's spend a Saturday exploring one of DC's most colorful annual festivals.
This will actually be my first time attending, so we'll all get to experience it together. There is no itinerary, just a relaxed afternoon exploring the festival, watching performances, browsing vendor booths, and trying some delicious food.
I'll be hanging out with the group for about 2 to 3 hours, but you're welcome to stay afterward and continue enjoying the festival.
